Ride With Norman Reedus Season Four Is Everything You Could Have Asked For Out Of Ride, And More Diana Marsh, February 23, 2020 With a bevy of new guests, new locations, new food, and new drinks to explore Ride s4 is every bit as fun, provocative, and educational as its predecessors and then some. Yes, you learn stuff, important stuff like who Chicken Dan is, what a seal whisperer in Uraguay sounds like, and why Kentucky Bourbon and Norman don’t necessarily mix. Photo courtesy of AMC.com A trip through Alabama on down to Senoia, Georgia with the one and only Michael Rooker is this season’s ice breaker, with the road taking them to Birmingham Alabama to see the sites and meet a few local MC’s whose roots run deep in the city and its culture. With several stops along the way and a whole lot of shenanigans under their belt, the guys finally making down to Walking Dead country, where a warm reunion with the cast and crew are waiting for them. What better way to kick off the new season than to reunite the Dixon Brothers in the Deep South for some good old fashion fun. Photo courtesy of AMC.com From there on the road turns world wide with an enviable VIP Guestlist, tours and personal experiences that are bucket list-worthy, with opportunities that remind you the world is so much bigger than social media leads you to believe. Meeting up with guests like Ryan Hurst and Milo Ventimiglia in Japan to explore both modern-day Japan and its mythical past, all the while meeting up with local bikers that are genuinely much cooler than you or I helps set the tone for the rest of the journey and leaves you wondering if you need to visit Japan sooner than later. Speaking of TWD and schedules that finally lined up. Photo courtesy of AMC.com From there its Costa Rica, Norman’s second home, with his ride-or-die Dom Rocket to explore the country and to play catch up with his long time friend. This episode can safely be referred to as “mistakes were made” thanks to a few bike mishaps that were all made in good fun, but the main take away from the Costa Rican adventure is learning about just how much in love with the country its citizens are and how they consciously interact with the natural world around them in hopes of making the future a better place for generations to come. Next up is Uruguay with the indomitable Becky Goebel to hit up one of South America’s largest biker events, the Custome Culture Motorcycle Weekend in Montevideo for, not just the bikes, but to explore the country’s unique spirit and cultural diversity that is deeply embedded in the fight for and the maintaining of individual freedoms and against overreaching of the government in their lives. Appreciating and treating nature as a stronghold against life’s struggles is also a deeply held belief and personified in a trip to a coastal sanctuary that rescues and rehabilitates wildlife which operates solely on public donations. To seal, or not to seal, that is the question. Photo courtesy of AMC.com Last but certainly not least, Norman meets up with long time friend Clifton Collins Jr for some good old fashion fun, Kentucky style. Riding from Lousiville to Red River Gorge, the guys knock off several spots from their where-to-visit and what-to-drink-while-doing-so list, like the James E Pepper distillery where the popular 1776 Bourbon is crafted, visiting local bars and hanging out with local MC’s in Louiville, and akwardly helping Clifton prep for an upcoming movie role, where the day can be best described as things didn’t go as planned, but no one died so it was a win. A charity ride rounded the trip out, showcasing how close the biker community is and the lengths they will go to for someone in need.
