Review-Star Trek: Prodigy Returns With More Mysteries, More Laughs, And Just More Star Trek Goodness Diana Marsh, January 6, 2022January 6, 2022 Brett Gray as Dal in STAR TREK: PRODIGY streaming on Paramount+ Photo: Nickelodeon/Paramount+ ©2021 VIACOM INTERNATIONAL. Hot off their mid-season break, Prodigy comes through with another fantastic episode that’s diving deeper into the USS Protostar’s mysterious origins while Dal tests his skills at being both a Captin and a leader through Starfleet’s Kobayashi Maru training test on the ship’s newly functional holodeck. We also see budding friendships begin to build between Gwen and the rest of the crew and a new look at her impressive skill at old-world languages which unlocks an introduction to an old Star Fleet friend. It’s all pretty damn impressive for a kid’s show. It’s even more impressive when you’re an adult watching it and forget that it’s a kid’s show because of all the fantastic Star Trek references.
