Review- Fresh From Mid Season Break Star Trek Discovery EP 8 Proves Waiting Can Be A Good Thing Diana Marsh, February 10, 2022 The look on your Mom’s face when she catches you sneaking back in from a night out with your friends at an illegal space casino. Discovery came back from break fresh as a Shasta Daisy and ready to work. With renegades Booker and Tarka out looking to build that somewhat sketchy detonation device using a power source from a sketchy distributor, Michael and Admiral Vance devise a scheme (that’s technically sketchy) to put a hard stop on the rebel’s efforts before someone gets killed, including Booker and Tarka. Meanwhile Capt. Burnham, Cmdr Stamats, and Zora finally crack the code to the purpose of the anomaly, which makes it all the more imperative that someone stops Booker and Tarka because (insert purposely vague sentence here) things genuinely are not what they appear to be. “All In” is a thoroughly enjoyable episode and a solid way to restart the season. It airs on Paramount + February 10th Pictured: Doug Jones as Saru and Sonequa Martin-Green as Burnham of the Paramount+ original series STAR TREK: DISCOVERY.
