Recap: SLAUGHTER, VIXEN And STEELHEART Performance in Las Vegas Terry Bunch, October 4, 2015 Oct 2nd, Downtown Las Vegas was sent on a rock and roll journey as legendary groups Slaughter, Vixen and Steelheart took over Downtown Las Vegas Events Center (DLVEC). The night kicked off with Steelheart taking the stage, fronted by Miljenko Matijevic. The group pumped the crowd up with hits such as “Blood Pollution” and “Gimme Gimme.” Next up was the all-female rock band, Vixen, who kept the party going with “Rev it Up!” “How Much Love” and “Cruisin’.” The group also paid homage to other artists with covers of Eddie Money’s “Take Me Home Tonight,” Whitesnake’s “Here I Go Again,” and Poison’s “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.” Decked out in a custom Slaughter jacket, CEO of the D Las Vegas and DLVEC, Derek Stevens, took the stage to introduce the night’s headliners. The crowd went wild as the Las Vegas locals jammed in their hometown with songs such as “The Wild Life” and “Burnin’ Bridges.
