Quantum Leap Halloween EP O Ye Of Little Faith Is Heavily Inspired By The Exorcist But With A Twist Diana Marsh, November 1, 2022 QUANTUM LEAP — “O Ye of Little Faith” Episode 107 — Pictured: (l-r) Josh Meyers as Uncle Percy, Colleen Foy as Magda, Chido Nwokocha as Doctor Felix Watts, Raymond Lee as Dr. Ben Song — (Photo by: Ron Batzdorff/NBC) Talk about a leap of faith. Tonight’s episode is based on The Exorcist, a 1973 horror involving demonic possession that to this day is still considered one of the most terrifying horror movies of all time. In O Ye Of Little Faith we see a respectful nod to the OG of possession movies but with just enough plot twist to make this a very Quantum Halloween, QUANTUM LEAP — “O Ye of Little Faith” Episode 107 — Pictured: (l-r) Chido Nwokocha as Doctor Felix Watts, Raymond Lee as Dr. Ben Song — (Photo by: Ron Batzdorff/NBC) Father Davenport (Dr. Ben Song) has been called to the Gray’s house where their 18-year-old daughter Daisy Gray is bed-bound because she is believed to be possessed by an evil spirit. Ben may be dressed to un-possess but he’s still him and is desperately trying to find a rational reason for the terrifying occurrences. Dr. Felix Watts, the town Dr, is called in to assist and is also a man of science but when several unexplainable events happen (no soup spewing but still) he begins to lean toward supernatural explanations. That is the opposite of helping. Addison also isn’t there because of technical issues which is also the opposite of helpful. QUANTUM LEAP — “O Ye of Little Faith” Episode 107 — Pictured: (l-r) — (Photo by: Ron Batzdorff/NBC) Oh Aunti Contessa we hardly knew thee. Soon, the family drama begins to unfold helping to explain why Daisy’s condition happened to occur when it did, why Percy was so smarmy, and why there was a rotting fish, complete with maggots, under Daisy’s bed. Those are all great starting points but Ben, er Father Couch (that’s technically what a Davenport is. Moving along) needed more information, and thanks to the “original internet”, a glass of crappy gin and a weird maid (no milkmaids thank god) Ben got exactly what he needed, except this time without the hallucinations. In the end, science prevails but not without taking that leap. Oh and Janice makes a cameo and now things are going to get even more awkward because let’s not forget we still have the very angry, highly decorated veteran Richard Martinez cross-leaping with Ben and neither of them is happy about it.
