Kelly has been busy.
Digressions Part 2 sees Officer Grayson trying desperately to warn The Orville of an impending takeover of their ship by the Kaylons. Once the aliens have control their goal is to travel to Earth, wipe out the Union Federation, its fleet, all outposts, and any and all Union allies that try to interfere. Admiral Halsey is the first person Kelly reaches out to for help but when he struggles to believe that Kelly has been to the future (even in the future it’s a stretch) and knows what is about to happen, she secretly contacts Talla and LaMarr on The Orville hoping to plant a seed of caution in them, with little results. Resigning from her post and going on with just Cassius and Dr. Finn, Kelly commanders a ship on outpost 73 to go after The Orville personally but it’s too late. Everything that she knew would happen (and a few things she didn’t) come to fruition, leaving everything in ruins and the survivors of the attack to deal with the most pressing question of all, now what?
With its intensely emotional storyline and beautiful artwork, Digressions Part 2 is another solid piece in The Orville comic legacy.
