Midnight Pulp titles:
Bride of Re-Animator
The success of Stuart Gordon’s hit horror-comedy Re-animator meant that a sequel was all but inevitable. The resulting follow-up, BRIDE OF RE-ANIMATOR – this time helmed by director Brian Yuzna (Society, Return of the Living Dead 3) – would prove that there was a good deal more life left in the story of Dr. Herbert West and his ghoulish exploits. It is 8 years since the Miskatonic massacre. Unperturbed by the disastrous outcome of his previous meddling with the dead, Dr. West (again played by Jeffrey Combs) continues his research into the phenomenon of re-animation; only this time, he plans to create life – starting with the heart of his young protégé Dan’s dearly deceased, Meg Halsey. Surely nothing could go wrong in this worthy successor to Gordon’s original cult classic… (US, 1989, 97 mins.)
Brain Damage
From Frank Henenlotter, the man behind such cult horror favorites as Basket Case and Frankenhooker, comes BRAIN DAMAGE – the ultimate head-trip! Meet Elmer. He’s your local, friendly parasite with the ability to induce euphoric hallucinations in his hosts. But these LSD-like trips come with a hefty price tag. When young Brian comes under Elmer’s addictive spell, it’s not long before he finds himself scouring the city streets in search of his parasite’s preferred food source – brains! (US, 1988, 86 mins.)
Malatesta’s Carnival of Blood

Step right up for MALATESTA’S CARNIVAL OF BLOOD – the grisliest, freakiest show in town! Arriving at a creepy, dilapidated fairground under the premise of looking for work, the Norris family are hoping to track down their missing son, who, they believe, is somewhere in the park. But it’s not long before they find themselves at the mercy of the fairground’s fiendish proprietors and the cannibalistic ghouls lurking in the caverns below. The 1973 cult oddity from late director Christopher Speeth, is a cinematic experience like no other. (US, 1973, 74 mins.)
Ray Harryhausen: Special Effects Titan

The remarkable career of the movie industry’s most admired and influential special-effects auteur, the legendary Ray Harryhausen, is the subject of Gilles Penso’s definitive documentary RAY HARRYHAUSEN: SPECIAL EFFECTS TITAN. Leaving no doubt as to Harryhausen s seminal influence on modern-day special effects, the documentary features enlightening and entertaining interviews with the man himself, Randy Cook, Peter Jackson, Nick Park, Phil Tippet, Terry Gilliam, Dennis Muren, John Landis, Guillermo Del Toro, James Cameron, Steven Spielberg and many more. These filmmakers, who today push the boundaries of special effects movie-making, pay tribute to the father of Stop Motion animation and films such as The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms , It Came From Beneath The Sea , The 7th Voyage Of Sinbad , Mysterious Island , Jason And The Argonauts and The Golden Voyage Of Sinbad the films that enthralled them as children and inspired them to become filmmakers in their own right. (2017, 97 mins.)
Blood Rage
What do you get if you combine Thanksgiving, American TV star Louise Lasser (“Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman”), killer 80s synths and some of the most gruesome special effects in all of slasher history courtesy of Ed (Terminator 2) French. Why, it’s BLOOD RAGE of course! Twins Todd and Terry seem like sweet boys that is, until one of them takes an axe to face of a fellow patron at the local drive-in. Todd is blamed for the bloody crime and institutionalized, whilst twin brother Terry goes free. Ten years later and, as the family gathers around the table for a Thanksgiving meal, the news comes in that Todd has escaped. But has the real killer in fact been in their midst all along? One thing’s for sure, there will be blood and rage! (US, 1987, 82 mins.)
