While not a metal release, Aussie indy band Summer Flake is set to unleash an album upon us, the unwashed masses, that deserves a serious listen through. Hello Friends is a bluesy, down and dirty groove rock album that is top notch to say the least. Front woman Stephanie Crase’s vocals are raw and bitterly enchanting and are the perfect pairing to the gritty alt rock melodies dished out by the guitars. Add a stripped down drum kit, solid recording, and lyrics that stay behind long after the music fades, and you have a brilliant release.
April 8th, this is one release our indy loving fans should not miss.
