Griefgod, the emerging death metal band from Lithuania, have just released their second single called “Anguish”, from their upcoming album “Deterioration”. The album is set to release in early April.
“Anguish” is an homage to old-school, groovy mid-tempo death metal, combined with a modern approach to the genre and production standards. With a tight composition, blast beats, and enough room for both moshing and grooving to catchy riffs, the song is a good representation of what Griefgod sets out to achieve with the whole album.
The upcoming album “Deterioration” comprises 7 songs, featuring both already released singles (“Anguish” and “45 Years of Tremor”). As the band’s debut full-length release, it represents the culmination of an extensive exploration of sound, theme, and identity. “Deterioration” aims to make a statement, showcasing Griefgod’s fusion of the old and the new, groove and chaos, complexity and directness.
