Hard Rock Cafe San Diego Hosts 3rd Annual True Hero Comic Drive For United States Marine Corps Terry Bunch, July 15, 2016 Calling all super heroes! As part of the San Diego Comic-Con convention, Hard Rock Cafe San Diego is hosting a comic book drive to send to the United States Marine Corps members who are serving overseas. Starting Monday, July 18, 2016, through Sunday, July 24, 2016, fans and Comic-Con attendees are encouraged to show their support by dropping off comic books at Hard Rock Cafe San Diego. The first 400 people to donate a comic book will receive a free, limited-edition True Hero VIP lanyard, featuring “Beautiful Monster” a stunning image by local artist, Tim Cantor. Tim Cantor acted as Artistic Director creating Imagine Dragons album cover as well as painting a piece to represent each song on the album, fourteen works of art in total. In 2015, Cantor traveled with the band on their world tour with a museum of The Art of Smoke + Mirrors.
