EYE OF THE GOLEM Sign to Octopus Rising – First Single Out Now

Terry Bunch, June 29, 2024

Italian post-metal band EYE OF THE GOLEM has signed with Octopus Rising to release their debut album.

“We are thrilled to have signed with a serious and coherent approach label like Argonauta for our debut album ‘Nigredo’! The first single, ‘Psychic Walls of Desperation,’ which fully represents the band’s evolving path, is released today,” says the band.

The concept and history of Eye of the Golem began in Bologna, Italy, in the summer of 2019, as a duo. After various lineup changes, they became a quartet: Hari, the drummer, has been present from the beginning; Andrea on bass and vocals; Ale and Marc on guitars. The band plays an original form of post-metal influenced by different musical genres, featuring heavy guitar riffs and beats, groovy distorted basslines, and psychedelic elements accompanied by diverse vocal styles. Their most obvious influences include Neurosis, Amenra, Godflesh, Katatonia, Russian Circles, early Type O Negative, as well as industrial and electronic music. Eye of the Golem is a group that constantly evolves, exploring different musical paths.
