Dropkick Murphys Bruce Springsteen Performing Historic Virtual Concert From Fenway Park Friday May 29th Diana Marsh, May 18, 2020 The Boys Are Back! Photo courtesy of American Songwriters.com With the success of their virtual St. Patrick’s Day concert, it only made sense for the Dropkick Murphys to take another swing at it, this time with a little help from some friends. The Boss himself, Bruce Springsteen, will be playing remotely to take things up a notch, while Boston’s own Pega Systems, the cats behind the virtual St. Patrick’s Day show, will be handling the tech side of things again. Photo courtesy of ETnow.com It’s a historic doubleheader, not just because of the talent, but DKM will be the first band to play Fenway straight from the infield diamond, to an empty stadium. No in-person audience, just the boys, and it’s all for a tremendous cause. While the stream will be free, fans are encouraged to contribute a donation, along with the band and sponsors, for those in need. Money raised will be distributed to such amazing charities as the Boston Resiliency Fund, Habitat For Humanity, and Feeding America. Those who wish to donate prior to the show or during the show can text DONATE to 404-994-3559.
