All good things must come to an end, and Heroes Part 2 finishes the Talla centered series with a very heavy what if.
Talla, with a little help from Dr Finn and Lt. Cmdr. LaMarr turns herself into Xandia, an Okudum folk hero, to fight the Nazh occupation and buy some time until The Union can be made aware of the Okudum’s situation. However, no matter how impressive the proverbial calvary is the Nazh is now out for revenge and stops at nothing until they capture Xandia who is then rescued by Aki dressed as the hero herself, but unlike Talla, Aki is willing to kill Nazh in order to make her own point about the occupation. Talla is then basically asked by Aki to leave the planet now that she has taken over Xandia’s role. Once on the ship the crew really dives into the what if’s and what now’s of playing hero when the end result is the death of those you’re trying to protect. There’s no binary answer to a hostile situation and, much like the tv series, the comics aim to entertain but also leave room for discussion about the substance of the story. A great finish to a great series.
