Comics for Ukraine SDCC Panel Includes $100,000 Donation Terry Bunch, July 20, 2022 Comics for Ukraine SDCC Panel Includes $100,000 Donation In April 2022, Comics for Ukraine launched on the crowdfunding platform Zoop. Spearheaded by Scott Dunbier, the project featured dozens of creators who donated their time and talent to produce the charity anthology. The project raised over $155,000 from over 1,200 individuals to benefit the charity Operation USA. Taking place at San Diego Comic-Con, the “Comics for Ukraine” panel will feature Scott Dunbier, Richard Walden from Operation USA, Mark Evanier, Stan Sakai, Billy Tucci, and John Layman. At the panel, Zoop Co-Founder and COO, Eric Moss will present a check for $100,000 to Operation USA. To coincide with the return of Comic-Con International, the campaign is also re-opening for an additional two weeks of funding. A new cover from Arthur Adams as well as preview pages from John Layman/Rob Guillory, Mark Waid/Gabriel Rodríguez, Kurt Busiek/ Brent Anderson, Walter Simonson, Stan Sakai, and more have been revealed on the campaign page.
