Budweiser Creates METALLICA “Infused” Beer Terry Bunch, September 15, 2015 What happens when you pair one of Quebec’s favourite beers with one of Quebec’s favourite bands? A beer for the ages. To support the first-ever concert at the Vidéotron Centre, Budweiser partnered with world-renowned rock band Metallica to harness their off-the-scale live show and use its vibrations, energy and decibels to create a brew inspired by the power of rock. Budweiser infused with Metallica will be available in Quebec only for a limited time starting September 28, 2015 A 48-foot tanker truck filled with Budweiser is making the journey from the brewery in Montreal to Québec City for the September 16 show. Fans will be treated to a pre-concert tailgate party starting at 4 p.m. where they will be offered a full-scale rock experience with entertainment, excitement and the opportunity to leave their mark on the Budweiser infused with Metallica tanker by signing it to solidify their spot in brewing history. During the concert, the sonic vibrations from Metallica’s music will be infused into the liquid, creating the rock and roll recipe. “Budweiser has a history of supporting music so when we found out that Metallica was headed for the Vidéotron Centre, we knew we had to be a part of it,” says Jean Gagnon, Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Budweiser. “We know that Quebecers love Budweiser – Budweiser infused with Metallica brings fans closer to the power of the music they love too.” Budweiser infused with Metallica is part of a partnership with Budweiser and Quebecor’s Sports & Entertainment Group. The limited edition brew will be canned following the concert and will have a run of 91,750 cases in Quebec while supplies last. Look out for 15 and 24-can packs in special packaging at local Quebec retailers starting September 28. In addition, a few lucky fans will have the chance to purchase Metallica autographed cans, packaged at random. For more information, visit www.budweiser.ca or www.facebook.com/budweisercanada.
