Spock Takes His Final Journey To Sha Ka Ree, RIP Leonard Nimoy
Leonard Nimoy, most famous for his portrayal of the half human/half Vulcan Spock on Star Trek, has died at the age of 83 after a short battle with chronic lung disease. Leonard Nimoy was rushed to hospital last week with chest pains and this morning, his family confirmed that Sha Ka Ree (the Vulcan “heaven”) gained a new occupant.
After being admitted to hospital, Leonard Nimoy had tweeted: “A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory.” Star Trek fans understood all too well, his final tweet: “LLAP”. This was a reference to his famous catchphrase “Live Long And Prosper”, a Vulcan blessing used frequently on Star Trek.
The Metal Life crew are saddened by this news and we will be watching some classic Star Trek today in tribute.
