Celebrating 10 years of blackened metal, Ohio based quintet SKELETONWITCH’s new album “Serpents Unleashed” is their most venomous yet! Described by Outburn as “pure, unapologetic heavy metal,” the album’s 11 tracks of abominable, frosty fire are now streaming exclusively on Pitchfork.com. Unleash the serpents at this location! http://pitchfork.com/advance/263-serpents-unleashed/

“Serpents Unleashed,” which features artwork by John Baizley (Baroness, Kylesa, Kvelertak), was recorded earlier this year at GodCity Studio in Salem, Mass. with Kurt Ballou (Trap Them, High On Fire, Converge) and will be released in North America across all platforms (CD/MP3/LP/cassette) next Tuesday, Oct. 29. If you can’t wait that long, an extremely limited amount of hand-numbered “bootleg vinyl” copies are now available at select independent record stores across the country. Check www.recordstoreday.com/venues for participating shops.

In other SKELETONWITCH news, vocalist Chance Garnette was recently featured on the MetalSucks Podcast, where he spoke to hosts Chuck and Godless about the start of SKELETONWITCH, how far they’ve come in the last decade, their favorite tours and the writing process for “Serpents Unleashed.” Listen to the podcast, followed by a stream of the title track here: http://www.metalsucks.net/2013/10/21/metalsucks-podcast-23-special-guest-chance-garnette-skeletonwitch/
