Prosthetic Records Announce New York Holiday Showcase


PROSTHETIC RECORDS is pleased to announce they will be hosting a Holiday Party this year at Brooklyn’s infamous Saint Vitus Bar on Thursday, December 4 featuring a headlining performance from Boston acclaimed post-rock quartet JUNIUS and blackened post-hardcore outfit SO HIDEOUS. Prior to the show’s start, ticket holders will have access to an exclusive listening party from 8:00 – 9:00pm featuring some of the labels most-lauded singles as well as some newer, previously unheard material in addition to being the first to taste the label’s exclusive collaborative brew with Sixpoint Brewery – Prosthetic Imperial Black Ale & the first one’s on us!*


Tickets for the showcase (21+ only) are currently available online for only $15 & also include a limited-edition hand screened poster featuring collaborative artwork by JUNIUS and PROSTHETIC as shown above. Posters will be received upon entry, until supplies last!

JUNIUS’ critically-acclaimed EP “Days of the Fallen Sun“, described as a prequel to their 2009 release “The Martyrdom of a Catastrophist”, was released earlier this year and sparked critics and fans alike with it’s “stadium-sized hooks and ethereal melodies” (Alternative Press). The Boston-based quartet supported the release with an international touring itinerary including runs with Solstafir, Long Distance Calling, Wolves Like Us, Caspian and A Storm of Light.

Brooklyn’s hometown blackened post-hardcore quartet SO HIDEOUS released their PROSTHETIC debut “Last Poem/ First Light” in March;  a mesmerizing six-piece effort combining their unique blend of post-hardcore, experimental/shoegaze, classic-infused black metal. Recently the group has been seen playing with acts including  I Am Heresy, Kylesa, Black Crown Initiate, East of the Wall, Vattnet Viskar, Diamond Plate and Meek is Murder along with a featured appearance at Metal Sucks / Metal Injection’s Official CMJ showcase alongside King Parrot, Lazer/Wulf and Inter Arma.
