MUTILATION RITES Announce First European Tour

Brooklyn heathens MUTILATION RITES will cross over to Europe in early 2015, as they embark on their first-ever international tour. The band will kick off the trek — which also features the Italian band Hierophant — in Milan on Feb. 4. Full dates and further information can be found above and below.

In the meantime, the group will play one last show for 2014 this Sunday (14) at their hometown haunt, Saint Vitus Bar, alongside Black Breath and White Widows Pact.

Additionally, MUTILATION RITES have confirmed the departure of drummer Justin Ennis: “We regret announcing that Justin will no longer be playing drums with us. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors. For our upcoming NYC date and European tour, Tyler Coburn (Yautja, Alraune, Gnarwhal) will be filling in.”

Following the May release of their critically-lauded sophomore full-length album “Harbinger,” which “takes filth to new levels by pushing the boundaries of what we know to be brutal black metal” (MetalSucks), the band maintained their DIY, grassroots work ethic by headlining an East Coast run in addition to being featured for the second time in a row at Gilead Fest.

MUTILATION RITES‘ sound — a “nightmarish merger between black, death, d-beat, and doom” (Pitchfork) — was perfected on their latest record by prodcucer Kevin Bernsten (TRIAC) and mastering engineer James Plotkin (Sunn O))), ISIS, Pelican). You can stream the album in full via Spotify, Rdio or YouTube now OR pick up a copy on CD or gatefold 180-gram black vinyl from the Prosthetic Store at http://store.prostheticrecords.com/bands/mutilation-rites !
