Metal Life Exclusive Interview With QUIET RIOT’s Frankie Banali Discussing meNtal Health And More

Resident metal queen Karila had an amazing opportunity to talk to a personal hero of hers: Frankie Banali, drummer and founding member of Quiet Riot. In this immersive interview, they break down some compelling key parts of their upcoming documentary, including dealing with Kevin’s loss and overcoming many obstacles to put Quiet Riot back on track in 2015 and beyond.

Following its debut on Showtime and screening at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, the award-winning documentary “QUIET RIOT: Well Now You’re Here, There’s No Way Back” releases on DVD on September 15.  The documentary follows Frankie’s road to recovery after losing his best friend and Quiet Riot lead singer Kevin DuBrow (Brother of Dr. Terry Dubrow on Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Orange County”) to a drug overdose in 2007 as he conquers his loss and puts the band back together.  The film also features cameos from Matt Sorum and Stephen Adler (Guns N’ Roses), Glen Hughes (Deep Purple), Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne) and Dana Strum (Slaughter).  Trailer:  http://www.quietriotmovie.com/#!trailer/c1t96
