HOWL: exclusive track premiere, tour continues
Kick your Monday in the teeth with HOWL’s “With A Blade.” Brought to you exclusively by Revolver Magazine, “With A Blade” comes by way of the Providence metal miscreants’ upcoming new studio album, Bloodlines. Recorded at the infamous Planet Z Studio in Hadley, Massachusetts with Chris “Zeuss” Harris (Soulfly, Crowbar, Municipal Waste, 3 Inches Of Blood et al), Bloodlines boasts 40 apocalyptic minutes of riff-drenched, nihilistic sonic savagery recommended for fans of Mastodon, Lamb Of God, Kingdom Of Sorrow, Baroness, Kylesa and the like.
Comments the band of the track: “‘With A Blade’ is the child of sweet southern riffs and a dirty gorilla with big dirty gorilla balls.”

The ten-track Bloodlines will see North American release via Relapse Records on April 30th, April 26th in Germany, Benelux and April 29 in the UK and rest of Europe. Preorder packages are available HERE.
HOWL continues their roadside pillage on a mega run of live assaults which included a recent victorious stomp through SXSW. Commented MetalSucks in a recap of their official showcase featuring HOWL alongside Goatwhore, Norma Jean, Royal Thunder, KEN Mode and Gypsyhawk. “HOWL followed with their recently re-jiggered lineup. Vincent Hausman proved that he was up the task of fronting the band without being anchored in one place, and the band’s new members more than capably brought the riffage. HOWL probably left this gig as the greatest gainers; a ton of folks came up to me saying they’d never seen the band live before but came away quite impressed.” Remaining tour dates are included below.

Commended for their distinct brand of “furious, bone-crushing, head-splitting doom” by MetalSucks, and their “huge riffs, excellent tone and an attitude not usually seen in bands with this much groove” by Crustcake, HOWL unleashed their Full Of Hell debut to unsuspecting ears in 2010. Gushed About.com in a near perfect rating of the record: “Full Of Hell isn’t just one of the best metal debuts of the year. It’s likely to be one of the best metal albums of the year.”
