Founding AGGRESSION Guitarist Reforms 80’s Thrashers
With their 30 year anniversary looming, founding AGGRESSION guitarist Denis ‘Sasquatch’ Barthe handpicked the players around him to breathe life back into the 80’s thrashers for a reformation at the 2015 edition of Defenders of The Old Festival in Brooklyn, NY on March 13th and 14th, which includes Exciter, Riot V, The Rods and many more. AGGRESSION‘S line up will feature vocalist Brian Langley from Toronto thrash metal legends Infernal Majesty, bassist Darin Wall and guitarist Dave Watson from Vancouver thrash powerhouse Entropia plus drum maniac Ryan Murray Idris from Expain.
“I always knew that Aggression would come back someday. Life issues kept getting in the way and I moved around a bit. I ran into these musicians and knew they could really pull it off. It’s been a long stretch since 1989, but finally it’s happening.” comments original founding Aggression guitarist Denis ‘Sasquatch’ Barthe.
This will be Aggression’s first show since 2005, where they reunited at the Montreal Metal Massacre fest and unleashed their un-released 1986 album ‘Forgotten Skeleton’.

Defenders of The Old Fest Line Up:
Exciter – First US show with the original Beehler, Johnson, Ricci, lineup in 30 years. They will perform classics from the first 3 albums
Brocas Helm – First East Coast show ever

Aggression (Canada) – Legendary Speed Metallers from Quebec. First show in the U.S.
Formed in 1985 under the original moniker “Asylum” to be later changed to AGGRESSION, the speed metallers unleashed their 1986 demo “Forgotten Skeleton”, (which saw an album release in 2005) and their debut full length “The Full Treatment” in 1987, which lead them to become one of the most popular bands to rise out of the Quebec and Canadian metal scene. With their manager at the time (Johnny Hart), AGGRESSION quickly became a household name with their concerts sold out everywhere and a fanbase that grew from hundreds to thousands in no time. Other bands such as Metallica, Slayer, Exodus, Hallow’s Eve, Destruction and others all wanted to see the beast for themselves during tour stops in Montreal. Playing numerous concerts with bands such as Anvil, Celtic Frost, Voïvod, Nuclear Assault, Agnostic Front, D.R.I., Possessed, Dark Angel, Crumbsuckers, Sacrifice and others, AGGRESSION decided to call it quits in 1989 due to external influences.
