CROBOT Join VOLBEAT And ANTHRAX For Spring 2015 Tour
Crobot have announced they’ll join Volbeat and Anthrax for a nationwide Spring 2015 tour as the very special guest. The spring trek will kick off April 24 in Denver, CO and wrap June 2 in New York City hitting arenas and major clubs throughout North America (all dates below). The tour pre-sale begins this Wednesday, October 29 at 10:00am local time. Visit www.crobotband.com for tickets and more information.
Currently in the midst of their fall U.S. Tour, Crobot have released their new album SOMETHING SUPERNATURAL via Wind-up Records (October 27). The album is available at all retail and streaming outlets, including iTunes, FYE and streaming partners HERE. The group will continue their fall tour before joining Chevelle on December 6 in Columbia, SC for a winter tour wrapping December 20 in Milwaukee.
“The time has come. It is here. It gives us great pleasure to lift the veil and officially cut the red tape for the release of ‘Something Supernatural’ on Wind-up records. The Mothership just received confirmation on landing our biggest tour to date. We will be honorably opening for the return of the legendary Anthrax and hard rock titans, Volbeat on their U.S./Canadian tour in spring 2015! From Seattle to NYC and everything in between, Beardos unite!”
On SOMETHING SUPERNATURAL, Crobot–whom Revolver praised for “…weaving together the deep grooves of stoner rock with grunge, blues and metal influences” (5/14)–has crafted an album of endless rock hooks, stellar musicianship and lyrical depth.
To perfect their blend of blues, metal and rock and roll, the band–Brandon Yeagley (lead vocals, harmonica), Chris Bishop (guitar, vocals), Jake Figueroa (bass), Paul Figueroa (drums)–worked with the producer Machine (Clutch, Lamb of God, Cobra Starship, Gym Class Heroes) at his Machine Shop studios in Austin. First single and good-time anthem “Nowhere To Hide” cracked the Top 20 at radio, peaking at #15 with major market support including SiriusXM Octane, WIIL Chicago, WRIF Detroit, KISW Seattle, KXXR Minneapolis, WIYY Baltimore, WJRR Orlando and WFTK Cincinnati, among others. In other news, Crobot partnered with Double Barley Brewery to create their own official beer, Crobot SupernaturAle. On October 29, the group will celebrate the official release of Crobot SupernaturAle at their show in Raleigh, NC at The Maywood. The group will tap kegs of their new brew and share it with fans at the show. Double Barley Brewery is a family owned craft beer brewery, operating out of Smithfield, NC.
“We loved Crobot the first time we saw them play and after having them out to the brewery and jamming, we knew we wanted to brew a beer as special and over the top as the band so we came up with ‘Supernaturale’,” explains Larry Lane, Owner/Brewer of Double Barley Brewing. “We specialize in bold, full flavored, high octane brews so we knew we were the perfect brewery to partner with Crobot and at 11% ABV, this brew is one notch past 10–just like Crobot! The ‘Supernaturale’ is in Imperial Brown Ale, clocking in at 11% ABV with a malty backbone and slight floral notes, it’s way too easy drinking!”
